Do You Deliver?

I can only guess at what delicious treats these Geauga County boys must have been delivering for their mother. Somehow I doubt it was pizza, the dinner item most often delivered to our house. What do you think was inside the cooler?

  1. I'm thinking there's a nice, fruit pie in that cooler. :-)

    1. Pie would have been one of my guesses, for sure!

  2. Hmmmm...ice comes to mind! That way she can make homemade icees. But pizza is sounding pretty good right about now!

    1. Ice, now I wouldn't have thought of that! Icees or ice cream, ice would work for either one. Trust you to cover the bases, Maria--no matter what's in the cooler, there was probably some ice to keep it cold. :-)

  3. I was thinking more like a mobile lemonade stand. LOL
Yes, Stef, I could comment just fine. And I'm using my Homestead blog as my profile. LOVE the background!

  4. Only you would think of a mobile lemonade stand. Thanks for the test comment. I wonder if there could be a plucked chicken in the cooler? My MIL (who is not Amish) used to go with her mother and sister to deliver fresh chicken from their farm in Jackson County, OH to customers in Portsmouth, OH, the big city. When I asked her how they kept the chickens cold, she couldn't recall, so it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the boys with the cooler. Of course, it could be *shuddering delicately* nite crawlers, no?

    1. Thanks, Jennifer! We tried to be respectful, so the photo was taken through the windshield of our moving car. I kind of wish I had rolled down the window as we passed and asked, "What's in the cooler?" :-)
